Images from Ethiopia on how to develop a Humanitarian Corridor.

The video (French language) showing the work of Sant'Egidio developing a Humanitarian Corridor in Ethiopia, with Giancarlo Penza - volunteer operation co-ordinator for the Community.

Humanitarian Corridors: the alternative to human traffickers and deaths at the Mediterranean Sea. Allowing safe and legal air-travel starting with the most vulnerable.

This is the idea behind the Humanitarian Corridors, the process started by the Community of Sant’Egidio. Visas are valid only in the country granting them, in this case Italy. Protocols have been signed off particularly for this purpose, firstly for Syrian refugees in Lebanon. The plan is to legally and safely transfer 500 refugees by air in 2018.
