Trattoria degli Amici is not just a restaurant.
Not only because of the specialties offered, but also because of the atmosphere that one can breathe. In fact, this restaurant is run by a cooperative promoted by the Community of Sant'Egidio.
People with disabilities work there, joined by professionals and friends who help voluntarily.
Together, because we do not believe in a world divided into two.
All profits from the Trattoria are aimed at the project itself. Among the initiatives born from this venue are training courses for disabled people in the field of catering and conferences on the subject of job placement.
The wine list is made up of wines from small and large Italian producers all of which are protagonists of WINE FOR LIFE, a solidarity project in which Italian wine supports the DREAM program of the Community of Sant'Egidio for the prevention and free treatment of AIDS in Africa.
The works on the walls, created by people with disabilities in the Community of Sant'Egidio's Art Workshops, also support the DREAM program.
