During his brief stay in Rome the President of the Central African Republic, Faustin-Archange Touaderá was received by Andrea Riccardi. The President visited the Community of Sant’Egidio. The meeting was a chance for checking about the country’s progress on the peace and dialogue initiative, which the Community has been engaged into.
President Touaderá thanked the Community of Sant’Egidio for the constant commitment to peace, disarmament and national reconciliation, which are now crucial due to the election. He also expressed his satisfaction for the development of a program DREAM, which opened its first center for HIV/AIDS treatment in Bangui.
