"The imam and the pastor", a story of reconciliation. Events in Belgium to promote a culture of dialogue

"The Imam and the Pastor" from Nigeria testify for 2.000 pupils and students in Belgium
On November 5 and 6, 2019, Imam Muhammad Ashafa and Pastor James Wuye from Nigeria were invited to Belgium to share their remarkable story. As leaders of radical Christian and Islamic youth movements, they faced each other for years as enemies. After their miraculous reconciliation, they travel as friends with a message of peace and reconciliation.
On Tuesday, November 5, 2019, they spoke in Leuven at the conference “From Hatred and Violence to Reconciliation and Peace Making” to which 650 students participated. The conference was opened by Mayor of Leuven Mohammed Ridouani and Professor Jan De Volder.
On Wednesday, November 6, 2019, they testified for more than 800 high school students at Theater Elckerlyc. In addition, 200 students followed the testimony at school through a live stream due to lack of space in the crowded theater.
That same evening they also gave their testimony for university students at the University of Antwerp.
