15 countries, 10 languages, 300 young people, most of them millennials: this characterizes the meeting 'Europeans for Peace' today, just before the Meeting "Paz sin Fronteras".
They met at the Delegacion Diocesana de Juventud of Madrid. The meeting opened with a speech by Andrea Riccardi, who encouraged the youth to "not be spectators" towards violence and war, "which burns everything around it" and to take the destiny of the continent at hand: "Europe - he said - depends on the life that you make."
In the afternoon the meeting continued with a testimony of Nelson Moda, responsible for the Community of Beira. After numerous events, Marco Impagliazzo called for the growth of a movement of peace in Europe in a time characterized by to much violence, aggresion and racism.
Europeans for Peace will meet again in Budapest on March 7 and 8.
