Molivos, north of Lesbos. Here you’ll see a cemetery made of life saving jackets. A long stretch of life vests, shreds of boats and some other kind of objects to which refugees cling trying to save their life. Those who manage to land safely, they leave their jackets in this place.
Friends of Sant'Egidio, currently in Lesbos, came up here with some young refugees from the Mòria camp. Facing the stretch of life jackets, they prayed for all those who arrived, for their lives and their futures and for those who, sadly, lost their lives at sea.
