A delegation from the Community of Sant'Egidio is currently in Sudan to participate in a religious freedom seminar organized by the Sudanese government and the Sudan Ecumenical Council of Churches. Foreign Minister El-Dirdiri Mohamed Ahmed then received the delegation. Both parties discussed issues related to stability in the region, particularly regarding South Sudan, Central Africa, and Libya.
