The authors fully embody the themes of the contest, by producing an addictive, viral and popular music, well performed and arranged. They prove successful in conveying to listeners the impulse to build peace and overcome any kind of division.
 
 
SECOND PRIZE OF MUSIC CONTEST “SOUNDS FOR PEACE”
 
Untuk kita semua – Kupang Youth for Peace (Kuoang, Indonesia).
A catchy, growing and well arranged melody shoulders simple, albeit effective, lyrics in affirming the beauty and joy of living in peace; solo and chorus mix the singing into a gracious harmony.
 
 
THIRD PRIZE OF MUSIC CONTEST “SOUNDS FOR PEACE”
The third prize is shared by two performers:
 
Fais la paix – Enfants de la Communauté de Sant’Egidio (Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso).
An appealing and tuneful rhythm, well performed by very young singers able of conveying that everyone is able to live and build peace.

A paz e o futuro próspero! – Comunidade de Sant’Egidio (Bissau, Guinee Bissau).
The song, very well composed and performed, through the repetition of a catchy chorus effectively conveys with joy the dream of peace that can be realized in Africa and globally
 
 
WEB PRIZE

Cry no more Africa – Benson Mwinuka (Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania).
“Cry no more Africa” is awarded the web prize with the highest number of likes summing up to 3136
 
 
SPECIAL MENTION FOR THE WHOLE COMMUNITY OF SANT’EGIDIO OF UGANDA

The Jury pays tribute to the whole Community of Sant’Egidio of Uganda for its large participation to the contest, with high quality recordings, and for focusing on one theme - peace - developed in various ways. With its three submissions, comprising voices from children, teenagers and adults, they succeed in upholding Sant'Egidio's prophecy of peace for the world.
