In recent days, a delegation of the Community of Sant'Egidio carried out a mission in Bangui, to support and implement the peace agreement
signed in Rome last June 20th. The delegation, which was received by the President of the Republic Faustin-Archange Touadéra, met the
leaders of the 13 political-military movements that signed the agreement. The creation of a "Monitoring Committee", a supervisory committee, composed of representatives of the authorities, the National Assembly, armed groups and the Community of Sant'Egidio was also decided. The results of the mission will be illustrated during a press conference by Mauro Garofalo, Head of International Relations of the Community of Sant'Egidio.
