Lately, the delegates from the cities of Misurata and Zintan met in Rome thanks to the work of the Community of Sant'Egidio. The gatherings happened in order to continue the journey for reconciliation, which began at Sant'Egidio in December 2016.
The endeavour of the delegations focused on the situation of the wounded people involved in the war, the sick, and the condition of the Libyan refugees.
Moreover, the meetings were characterised by a climate of respect and constructive dialogue, which led to the signing of a joint statement on the priorities of the reconciliation.
