Hundreds of people gathered in Shkodra (Albania), on January 9, for the Peace in All Lands march that was organized by the Community of Sant'Egidio due to the 50th World Day of Peace.
The procession, which was opened by the children from the School of Peace, was attended by delegations of different associations, church movements, and representatives of the Orthodox Church. After a silent stop at the house of the Stigmatine Sisters, which was created in memory of the martyrs of the Albanian Church, the parade loosened in the central streets of the city. It ended with an invitation to support Pope Francis' message on nonviolence without forgetting the many countries that are affected by war, violence, and terrorism.
