Anne Hidalgo, the mayor of Paris, opened this morning the International Conference "East and West, dialogues of civilisations", organised by the Community of Sant'Egidio together with the University of Al Azhar, at the Mairie of Paris and the Muslim Council of Elders, it represents a second step - after the meeting in Florence last year - for an open and frank dialogue between two civilisations that view integration as the necessary and possible perspective in our time.
