Over recent days, the threat of war became increasingly stronger and the risk of a conflict has dangerously arisen. We need Peace! In Sant’Egidio we believe that what matters is saving people from war - as the responsible for the Humanitarian Corridors Prject Daniela Pompei said in a recent interview published by Crux.
What we need is being artisan of Peace, with perseverance and audacity. That is why we keep praying for Peace, in Siria and everywhere else. As a matter of fact, nowadays there are more then 26 countries suffering from war or widespread and constant violence. We name them all, one by one, in our prayers.

Along with the prayer, we can all play a pivotal role in conflicts resolution - in Central Africa, in Iraq and elsewhere - by radiating a culture of peace around us. What we need is educating towards peace. Today, in the city of Novara (Italy), more then 2,000 children coming from primary schools will gather in a parade to ask for Peace. The event, made for youngsters and adults, will express the commitment of the Schools of Peace promoted by Sant’Egidio.
