We have come a long way. But more can, and must, be done.

We have come a long way to liberate the world from the death penalty. But more can, and must, be done against this highly inhuman and useless measure of injustice.

The Sant’Egidio Community is pursuing a global campaign to reach universal moratorium and calls upon all the 30th November at 6.00pm to a major event, live  at the Colosseum in Rome and across hundreds of cities around the world will be running simultaneity on the same day. Over 2,000 cities are joining the Cities for Life Global Campaign and will illuminate their top monuments to say NO to the death penalty.

Two days before, on 28th November in Rome, the 11th International Meeting of the Ministers of Justice for A world without the death penalty will take place in Rome - at the New Hall for the Parliamentary Groups of the Chamber of Deputies.
