The Community of Sant’Egidio celebrates the 46th anniversary since its founding on February 6, 2014 with a liturgy presided over by Monsignor Giovanni Angelo Becciu, Substitute for General Affairs of the Holy See’s Secretariat of State, at 18.30 in the Basilica of St. John Lateran.


Members of the Community and participants in its activities will be present, along with priests, bishops, cardinals and members of religious orders, ecumenical delegations, ambassadors, representatives of institutions and the Community in the world, and friends.

The Community of Sant’Egidio, founded in Rome in February 1968, now has more than 60,000 members, all volunteers, in 74 countries around the world.
